Glass makes this page worth reading. A frame is light but brittle, so how it is packed and what you do in the first minute at your door decide whether a claim is simple. This page sets out what we charge to send a frame, how long it takes, and what to check when it arrives. It forms part of our Terms of Service and covers every order on photoframefactory.shop.

1. Where we ship
India only, dispatched from Thane, Maharashtra through Delhivery / DTDC. Orders addressed outside India are cancelled and refunded in full. Most Indian PIN codes are serviceable; where one is not, checkout says so before you pay, and if we find out afterwards we cancel and refund the whole amount.
2. What it costs
Orders of ₹999 and above ship free. Below that, one flat ₹59 covers the entire order however many frames are in it. Nothing else is added — no handling, packing, fragile, fuel or remote-area fee — and nothing is collected at your door beyond a Cash on Delivery amount you already approved at checkout. The business is not registered for GST. GST registration is not applicable to the business at this time, so GST is not charged separately on orders and we cannot issue a GST tax invoice bearing a GSTIN. An order invoice is included with the parcel; it is not a GST tax invoice. The price shown is the final price — nothing extra is charged at checkout.
3. Handling before dispatch
Handling takes 1 to 2 business days. Orders confirmed before 3:00 PM IST join the same working day queue. In that window we unwrap the frame, check the moulding and the glazing against the light, check the mat opening and the hardware against the order, then pack it: each frame is corner-protected, the glazing is faced with board, and the whole piece is double-boxed with fragile marking on the outer carton.
4. How long it takes
Transit after dispatch is normally 3 to 7 business days — about 3 to 5 business days to metro PIN codes and 3 to 7 business days to the rest of India. Counting handling and transit, expect 4 to 9 business days from placing the order. These are estimates, not guarantees: courier capacity, weather and festival volume move them, and hill districts, island territories and the far North-East can sit at or past the top of the range.
5. How glass travels
Framed pieces travel with glass. Check the parcel for breakage while the courier is still at your door, and film the unboxing within 48 hours if anything is cracked.
- Corners first. Every corner gets a moulded protector, because a dropped carton lands on a corner and the shock runs into the glazing.
- Faced with board. A rigid sheet sits against the glazing so nothing presses on the middle of the pane in transit.
- Double-boxed. The inner box carries the frame; the outer box carries the handling. The outer carton is marked fragile, which is a request to the network, not a guarantee from it.
- Large sizes travel flat. Anything from 11×14 inches upward is shipped flat rather than upright wherever the courier allows it.
6. What to do at the door
- Look at the carton before you sign. Crushing, damp, a torn edge or fresh tape over an old seam are reasons to refuse the delivery and say why.
- Listen. Loose glass inside a sealed box is audible if you tilt it gently. If you hear it, refuse the parcel.
- Film the unboxing from before the tape is cut until everything is out. On a cracked pane this single video settles the claim in one email.
- Report within 48 hours with photographs of the carton and of the crack.
Where a pane arrives cracked we replace the piece or refund it in full, whichever you prefer, and we pay the return shipping. Glass breakage reported inside 48 hours with the video is never treated as your fault.
7. Tracking
Every dispatched order carries a tracking number, sent in the dispatch email and shown under My Orders. Scans begin at the first courier hub rather than at pickup, so a quiet first day is normal. No tracking number three working days after ordering is worth an email.
8. Cash on Delivery
Available on serviceable PIN codes at no surcharge. Have the exact amount ready, because delivery staff carry very little change. You may inspect the carton before paying; opening a sealed parcel before payment is between you and the rider, and refusing a suspect carton is always the safer move.
9. Addresses, and what delays a parcel
- An incomplete address or an unreachable phone number — the courier calls before delivery.
- PIN codes that only receive deliveries on certain days.
- Festival and monsoon peaks, when the whole network slows.
- Three failed attempts, after which the parcel returns to us; we email within two working days and offer re-shipment to a corrected address at no extra shipping charge, or a full refund.
10. Damaged, wrong or short
Report within 48 hours of delivery with the unboxing video, photographs of the carton, photographs of the fault and your order number. Where a single part is at fault — a hanging fitting, a backing board — shipping that part is usually faster than sending the whole frame back, and we will offer that first.
